How to type with your voice
- Choose the language and click “Start dictation”. The browser will ask for the microphone — allow it.
- Speak at your normal pace and pause between phrases: after a pause the phrase is recognized and appears in the box.
- Commas, periods and capital letters are added automatically. Edit the text right in the box, then check it, translate it or copy it.
Works in any browser
Built-in voice typing is not available everywhere: Firefox and Opera do not have it, and where it exists it often skips punctuation. Here speech is recognized on our servers, so dictation works the same in any browser on a computer or a phone.
What happens to the recording
The audio is not stored: each phrase is deleted right after recognition, only the text in the box on your page remains.
