Why keep a writing diary

AI detectors make mistakes, and teachers and clients increasingly ask to see how a text was written. The best proof of authorship is the history: drafts, edits, the text growing week by week. The diary collects this history for you.

How it works

  1. Create a diary for your work: an essay, a thesis, an article.
  2. Add an entry after each session: paste the current text or upload a file and briefly note what you did.
  3. The server sets the time, and entries are linked to each other: a version cannot be replaced or an entry added afterwards.
  4. Open the link for a reviewer when needed: they will see the period of work, how the text grew, your notes and a replay of the changes.

Questions and answers

Does this prove that I wrote the work?

The diary shows how the text grew over time and confirms that versions were not changed afterwards. It is a strong argument, especially together with drafts and your own account of the work. The decision is still made by the reviewer.

Who can see my texts?

Only you. The reviewer page stays closed until you open it, and you can close it at any time.

How often should I add entries?

After each writing session, but no more than once every 10 minutes. Ten to twenty entries while working on an essay make a convincing history.
