Information We Collect
When you use our online services or mobile word processing applications, we may collect the following types of information:
- Personal information such as your name, email address, and other contact information.
- Information about your use of our services, such as your device type, IP address, and the pages you visit.
- Information about your documents, such as the content and metadata. This text data is collected strictly to provide you with our core word processing and AI-assisted features (e.g., text generation, editing, or analysis).
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Provide and improve our services.
- Communicate with you about our services and updates.
- Respond to your inquiries and requests.
- Analyze and improve our business operations.
AI Processing on Proprietary Servers: Our application utilizes Large Language Models (LLMs) to process your text. All AI processing is performed entirely on our own secure, self-hosted servers. We do not use your document content to train our AI models without your explicit consent.
We may use your non-personal information to:
- Analyze and improve our services.
- Develop new features and services.
- Customize and personalize your experience.
How We Share Your Information
We may share your personal information with third parties such as service providers, partners, and affiliates who help us provide our services.
No Third-Party AI Data Sharing: We explicitly DO NOT share, transmit, or sell your document content, text inputs, or personal information to any third-party AI services (such as OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or similar external providers). The 'service providers' mentioned above refer strictly to secure cloud hosting infrastructure, not external AI APIs.
We may also share your information with law enforcement or government officials when required by law. We may share your non-personal information with third parties for business and marketing purposes.
Data Retention and Security
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Texts you check: texts you submit to our checkers, translator, AI detector and generators, and their results, are stored so that we can process them and show you the result. Texts submitted without an account are deleted after 7 days. If you are signed in, your texts and results are kept in your History for 30 days, or for 90 days while you have an active PRO plan or pack, and are then deleted. Before deleting texts we keep only anonymous daily totals per tool (the number of checks and characters), which contain no text and no personal data.
Writing diary: texts and notes you save in the Writing diary are kept for 3 months after your last entry, or for 6 months if you have an active PRO pack (the term can be extended), and are then deleted entirely. You can delete a diary at any time. Other people can see a diary only through its link, and only after you have opened that link yourself.
Photos and images: photos you upload to read or translate text, or attach to a question in the chat, are used only to fulfil that request. Before processing, an image is reduced in size and saved without the file's metadata, including location data. Images are available only to our own processing servers, are not shared with third parties and are not used to train third-party models. Images uploaded without an account are deleted within 2 hours, images uploaded by registered users after 7 days. We recommend not uploading photos of passports or other documents with personal data.
Audio and video recordings: recordings you upload to Audio to Text or Video to Text are used only to transcribe them at your request. Transcription runs on our own servers; recordings are not shared with third parties and are not used to train any models. The file is deleted right after transcription or a failed attempt, and no later than 24 hours after upload if transcription does not take place; unfinished uploads are deleted within 2 hours. The transcript is kept like the results of other checks (see "Texts you check" above). Voices in recordings are not used to identify anyone and are not processed as biometric data; when a transcript is split by speaker, the speakers are labelled only by number ("Speaker 1", "Speaker 2"). Please upload only recordings you have the right to use and obtain the consent of the people recorded where the law requires it.
Text to speech: texts you send to Text to Speech are handled like other texts you check. The resulting MP3 files are deleted after 24 hours. Texts are read by synthetic voices created by us that do not imitate real people.
AI Image Detector: images you upload to the AI Image Detector are used only to check them at your request, on our own servers. The original file is checked as it is; its metadata is read only to look for provenance labels (information about the program or device that created the image), and location data is not stored. The file is deleted right after the check or a failed attempt, and no later than 2 hours after upload. Your history keeps the result, the file name, the image size and a small copy of the image (a thumbnail up to 320 pixels, without file metadata) so that you can see what you checked and download a report; the thumbnail is shown only to you and to our administrators, is not published or indexed by search engines, and is deleted together with the history entry. We do not recognize people in images.
Voice typing: when you use the microphone in Voice Typing, the translator or the text tools, each spoken phrase is sent to our own servers only to turn it into text. The phrase is deleted right after recognition, and no later than 10 minutes if it is not processed; recordings are not shared with third parties and are not used to train any models. Only the text remains, on your page.
Your Choices and Rights
You may choose to provide or withhold your personal information. You may also access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us. However, please note that deleting your information may impact your use of our services.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated policy on our website.
