Turn a photo into editable text
The image to text converter reads the text in a photo, a scan or a screenshot and gives it back word for word. Paragraphs, lists and numbering stay as they are in the picture, and the lines of a paragraph are joined into normal sentences. Nothing is corrected or rewritten, so you get exactly what is on the page.
How to extract text from an image
- Press Choose a photo, paste a picture with Ctrl+V or drag it into the frame. You can choose several photos or a PDF at once. The text is read right away.
- Fix misread words right in the text and add more pages with Add a page.
- Copy the text or send it straight to the grammar checker, the translator or another tool.
What you can convert
- Pages of books and textbooks photographed with your phone.
- Screenshots of documents, chats and websites.
- Handwritten notes that are written clearly.
- Signs, menus and labels in any language.
Tips for a clean result
- Photograph the page straight on, in good light and without shadows.
- Fill the frame with the text you need and leave out neighbouring pages.
- Read the result before you use it: a blurred word may be marked as illegible.
